I'm selling my 1999 T5 C70, with 134,000 miles and MOT until September. The only advisories last time were the track rod ends, however since then there is a problem with the steering rack where one of the mounting brackets has failed. I've looked into replacing this myself, however without the space to do so it doesn't look like something I can do, hence why I'm selling the car. A reconditioned exchange rack can be had for about £300, and I've had quotes from scrapyards for as little as £65 for a used one.
Aside from that the car does drive well, and is generally what I would describe as "scruffy but sound", there's no rust, and the engine pulls well, although it does drink a bit of oil. But there are a couple of scratches in the body work, and a tear in the drivers seat.
Cambelt was last changed at 86,000 miles.
The service light is on, as is the low coolant light, but that is due to a broken float in the sensor.
I'll miss the car, as it's fast, comfy, and the factory sound system is actually fantastic.
