I am in the process of buying a Porsche 944 from this very forum. Delivery is confirmed for next weekend as I didnt think my wife would approve of Valentines day collecting cars. The last decission i need to make is the wheels. The car is a black 1985 square dash 944. I went for cookie cutters - 15", but now think that the 15" teles could look better.... What do the Retro Riders advice? Picutres for you delight.... and Thanks

Not that origonal but you can't deny the look amazing! Plus a BMW set and some hub adapters will probs come in same price as the teles. EDIT: hell get some fakes for £300 and no one will notice/judge

I voted for the 15" Cookie cutters - they're a fantastic looking wheel. I like the Porsche Teledials - but for me they are a wheel which looks much better on the 928 and don't really suit the 944.
The Cookie cutters are wheels of great individuality - another reason to fit them since they are much more unusual looking than of Azevs or BBS Cross spokes.

No matter what you do don't go the teledials route, I think they do nothing for the look of the car. I reckon I'd try and track down a set of Revolution RFX wheels, paint them silver and polish the rim, they'd look top notch!

Cookie cutters all the way. They look so right on a 944. Teledials and yet another set of scene BBS makes me think of a farm animal with a thick woollen coat.

Fuchs would be my choice too, but they are just too expensive!

For some reason I do like the look of these, although they are nothing special.

I voted for Cookie Cutters. I've got a white 944 Turbo with 16" Teledials but based on your first picture think a white car on Cookie Cutters looks better. But if black/dark colour 944 the Teledials may work better. cheers Paul

Be careful choosing wheels, the offset was changed in 1985 from 23 to 52. If you have a later car, it's a big job to change the alu rear beam & front wishbones to the early steels ones. Wheels from early cars will poke out too much on late ones and if you put late wheels on an early car, you'll need big spacers.
Cookie cutters are very light wheels but the 16" teles look cool too!

I voted Cookie Cutters. But that's because Fuchs wasn't an option.x They're actually poor Fuch replicas, Braids I think. Black centered cookies or D90s if not genuine Fuchs.

Neither I'd go 16" something like D90s which are pretty light. Main reason is that there is a much better range of tyres available. The 15" tyre options are at bes, poor.
