Looks a wonderful example of a 316. You'd probably stand half a chance getting the top end price tag with the right contacts. If I were you I would get in contact with KGF car sales on here. They seem to do really well at selling old cars for top money and I'm fairly sure they do commission sales and they seem to shift all kinds of cars from pov spec to one of rare models.
Having recently (in the past 6 months)sold a tidy, low miles e36 325i manual for just over a grand, I think it's the only way you will ever get close to your asking price. I'm not saying it isn't worth the money, I'm saying it's a niche car, so needs specialist advertising imo.
