I'm not too sure what I'm doing here, I'm not even sure if i want to do this but i figure theres no harm in seeing what else is out there!
I had this advertised on here last year looking completely different too what it does now!
Since last year its had the following
New complete floorpans
new inner and outer sills
new front scuttle
rear inner and outer arches
new front wings
the rear panel under tailgate replaced
body work done
respray in a one of blue
the whole underneath wire wheeled and anything that needed welding was done and then etch primed, primed, gravitexed, including inner front wings etc!
New brake lines throughout
brand new steering rack arms
better condition dash
new powdercoated axle and tank
and the rest of the info
American early westy front grille headlights and front panel imported from the states (very rare+expensive)
Full genuine american green tint glass set, all origional cost me a bomb!
American front and rear bumpers, small fortune too
American caddy aeriel!
It has american heater controls, running lights on the side and lx badges on the rear, and us axle plates all off the same truck!
1600 gtd engine+ 5 speed box out of a b3 passat having covered 130,000 miles now (cambelt kit+waterpump done last year, recent service)
Big front mount intercooler with 2.25inch pipework
straight through 2.25 inch mild steel side exit exhaust it roars and can cover pedestrians in soot!
completey polybushed throughout
new gear linkage bush kit
braided fuel lines and new brake lines both run inside the cab to avoid catching them on the floor
Black low back seats, super cool
new rear bed panel
bearings and brakes done a year ago before i took it off the road
coilovers up front
flipped axle on the rear with extended u bolts and 2 inch blocks
Scmidt th lines 14x8 frotns 14x9 rears front tyres will need changing soon!
made a quick pallet bed cover for it
has 10 months mot passed with no advisories and ive done 2000 miles since being back on the road faultlessly
Only one thing that lets it down a bit for me and thats that the engine bay is beige, now its not a massive issue as i have about 2 litres of the blue left over!!
Now its still not 100% mint, couple of small chips, body work isnt show room condition but its a hell of alot better than it was last year!
If i was to sell the truck i wouldnt take less than £6000 for it, some may say this is expensive, but ive spent £2000 on american parts and £1000 for the wheels so when you consider the initial cost of the truck and all the resto work ive done id say its a fair price!
But having said that i really don't want to just sell it as i have seen nothing else i want, i want to see if anyone has anything to swap me, must be cool though nothing standard!
it really is my pride and joy, ive put so much blood sweat and tears into this thing and i love it too bits I'm sure ill slap my self for advertising it but hey hoe
