Superb S3 with the sought after 200TDi conversion giving you the desirable classic looks with modern day performance and economy. Finished in Pastel Green, and looking truly fantastic throughout, the photos really do not do this Land Rover justice.
ENGINE/MECHANICALS;
Originally started life as a 2286cc 4 cylinder petrol, but has had a 200tdi Discovery engine fitted at some point in it`s recent history. It`s been done very well indeed, and is a credit to whoever did the conversion. It starts first turn of the key without fail, and really does make a huge difference to driving a Series. To compliment the engine, it has Range Rover gearing fitted, to enable you to get the most out of the increased power and economy. It`s also fitted with parabolic springs to give a slightly smoother ride.
Everything else works as it should. No crunching of the gears, and it also doesn`t jump out of any gear either whilst driving or on overrun. The brakes do what they`re supposed to do, as does the steering and clutch and the 4x4 gearing also works without issue. The wheels are is superb condition, and are all (inc. the spare) shod with Michelin XZL 7.50 tyres with good tread remaining.
BODYWORK;
The classic combination of Pastel Green and Limestone really does work well. Please excuse the pictures, as they really don`t do the colour justice at all. Looking around the vehicle, there are barely any imperfections at all. The galvanised cappings have been left as they are to give the desired patina, and not painted silver like so many people seem to do. The chassis and bulkhead are in superb order, including the rear crossmember and outriggers. It`s been treated to underseal rust protector at some point in the past, and it`s clearly done it`s job.
INTERIOR;
This has the deluxe high back seats fitted, which are in good order. There are a couple of nicks in the material, and about 3 inches of loose stitching on the passenger seat base if you look closely. This is an easy repair, or a full set of brand new deluxe seats can be purchased from Paddocks for £200 if that`s the way you wish to go. The dashboard is very rare, in the way that it is totally without damage or cracks. Everything works as it should.
In conclusion, you get the best of both worlds here with probably the most iconic colour combination and classic looks along with modern performance and economy. It has an MOT until the end of March, which came without any advisories. Within the asking price, I will put a fresh 12 months on it.
If any potential buyers would rather a canvas roof instead of the van back, I`m happy to supply and fit one for £850.

If anyone is genuinely looking for a very good Series 3 with a 200TDi for everyday use, you`ll not get better than this without paying over £10k.
