I'll admit we've been getting used to em with all the Euro kit being posted recently. I'm not against it, it can work well, but not everything works and its know how much to do it by. if it goes with the lines and stance, then it can work, if its obviously covering the lights for the sake of it then also looks spectacularly pap if the filler/weld lines are showing. Verdict: yes sometimes

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Pardon my igronance, but is it a whole new bonnet, just a new outer pressing or only the lower bit?
That grey Lupo looks a bit of a hoot, but the Mondeo (?) has a very nice line in variable panel gap between the bonnet and the bumper!
The automotive equivalent of gurning in some cases ;D

I'm not against anything in principal. Somethings are just harder to make work than others. I would be very very reluctant to do one simply because they so often look so bad. Te grey Lupo looks the shnitz though. Is the 309 not hoodride / rat look / post mod etc.

Dunno, people use the stupidest cars to do it to.
'let's make a polo look bad, and gangzta and angry'
At least do it to something menacing in the first place. But then if it's menacing in the first place a bad boi would just make it look ghey. Therein lies one's problem.

Great idea! Cover half the headlights with metal, so you can't see properly at night!

I like - but not on all cars.
Gives them a slighty edgy evil look.

i would guess the 309 is pre-paint by the looks of it, and could easily look quite good once done. provided they get the wallet out and buy some schmidt th wheels...

It is hard to pull off. You need the right car, the right lights, and just a subtle 'badboy'ing.
It works on the Lupo and the Bora.

Actually a slight bad boyage on the Capri would work quite well Tigran!

Actually a slight bad boyage on the Capri would work quite well Tigran! Very thin ice my pedigree-chum. Actually on second thoughts it already has one - where the previous old biffer drove it into something and dented the bonnet, the shame!

Like Alistair I can't discount anything as there must be awesome examples out there. But I'm afraid I've seen too many Halfords Specials to share the lurve.
