Right, the cull of cars and parts continues with this XR which I've owned since early 2014. It was bought with a fubared cvh in it, I then converted it with a 2.0 Zetec and Fiesta RS1800 box. Ran it for a couple of months before being offered a big bearing RS Turbo box with LSD. Fitted that, along with rebuilding the engine. Box promptly ate itself on the way to the 2014 Gathering, limped home after the show and parked it in the yard thoroughly hacked off with it. It has sat there until three weeks ago when I decided to do something with it so I towed it to the unit.
Firstly, the car will come as a running vehicle with the RS1800 box reinstalled. The price difference will depend on whether you want it as is otherwise, or cleaned up with a full MOT.....
The car will need some bodywork doing, mainly round the petrol flap and the n/s front wing has a hole in the underneath part. There are other bits as to be expected of a 25 year old Ford, but nothing drastic that I can see. The car is black, with Fiesta RST interior. This will need a really good clean up as it has been sat for 18 months.
It's fitted with Escort GTi alloys with budget tyres, these have loads of tread on them....
When I ran this, it went like a stabbed rat, a really quick little car. Would make a great winter project ready for summer shows, or turn it into a really good little track car. This was my intention, but time is not my friend at the moment....
