Mechanically sound - Bodywork has the usual W210 rust issues and a few dents / battle scars
I have owned this for the past couple of months purely as a stop gap / winter hack.
Specification includes: Automatic / Tiptronic Gearbox, Full Black Piped Leather, Heated Front Seats, Electric Front Seats, Electric Rear Blind, Birds Eye Maple Wood Trim, Cruise Control, Electric Windows x 4, Electric Folding Heated Door Mirrors, Climate Control, Bose Premium Sound System, Kenwood CD MP3 Head Unit, Multi Function Steering Wheel, Trip Computer, Alloy Wheels, Remote Central Locking, Alarm & Immobiliser, etc.
2799cc / V6 / 5 Speed Automatic / 204 BHP / 140+ MPH / Rear Wheel Drive
The engine is mechanically spot on - always starts first turn of the key with no hesitation. Idles in the correct manner. Temperature sits at the correct level all day long. Uses no excess oil or coolant. No fluid leaks. The car does not miss a beat. I was using it for a 400 mile weekly commute which it did with ease.
Everything works as it should and apart from the SRS light (usually related to an occupancy sensor), there are currently no other warning lights on the dashboard.
17" AMG Replica Alloys with decent matching Continental Sport Tyres all round.
Bodywork has suffered from the usual W210 rust bite: front wings, rear wheel arches, number plate surround and a few other parts of the body have corrosion. Front wing has a dent. Not the worst I have seen, and I have had a fair few 210s. However, she isn't going to be a garage queen and win you any concours awards!
Seats have a few marks, but no rips or tears. Interior is still solid and the W210 cabin is a pleasant place to be. When you have music from the Bose, the heated seats on, the rear blind to play with and the smooth drive, you pretty much forget about the bodywork!
Overall a solid and reliable Mercedes that is the perfect motorway cruiser, a winter run-around, stop gap motor or family car.
Comes with: 2 Keys / Remote Key Fobs, Service Booklet with 6 Service Stamps, HPI Report, Mercedes Folder with E Class User Manuals. Still awaiting Logbook, as previous owner annoyingly forgot to send it off. However, this does mean that the new owner has a little longer before they need to buy tax it! 
£625 Retro Rides Price - sock draw money for a car that would have been well over £35k when new.

Only 6 stamps in the book? Based on 168k miles / 17 years it'll be every 28k miles / 3 years. Unless receipts for services/maintenance?

It doesn't of course mean that it's only been serviced 6 times, but most likely done by people independently who haven't bothered stamping the book.
I think at this price range one cannot be picky about a car having a full service history - if it hadn't been looked after, it wouldn't drive as well as it does.

What planet are some people on, total bargain, I still think their a smart looking car today, great VFM.
I know mercs of this era get a slating for rust but I've got a 2000 ml 270 cdi and aside from a few age related issues its only ever broken down once in 7 years and 120k miles that I've put on it which was down to my own poor maintenance.

Totally agree - these W210s are great value for money, and even if the exteriors are rotting away, the interiors are fabulous and solid.
That 'OM 612' 270 CDI engine is a gem and will go on forever if looked after.

My wing is dented in the exact same place. I've got the diesel six cylinder, unfortunately my EPS, ABS, BAS, and SRS lights came on after the MOT. A duff/dying battery can cause this.
Echoing original comments, they are supremely nice cars to drive, once you get out onto the motorway they are effortless.

Yes, a low battery can cause the dashboards to light up and they can even cause the car to have abrubt gear changes.
ABS Speed Sensors can also cause those symptons with the warning lights.
Pretty sure my issue is related to the occupancy sensor (BMW E46 and E39 models also have similar faults).
You are right, they really do come into there own on the motorways and cruise effortlessely all day long.
