Hey,
I am hoping someone on here may want my 1974 lwb land rover station wagon.
I have only had it since the end of November but unfortunately now I have to admit it is not practical for my daily commute through Coventry as it really is that big.
Anyway since I have bought it I have got it taxed in the historical tax bracket so it is now tax free, also I have had a full exhaust put on it along with the replacement of both front shocks. I have had the head off and skimmed as it was pressuring the water system when I bought it and therefore I have set all the valves on it as well which took an awful lot longer than anticipated, so mechanically its sorted now. I have also fitted an electric fan to regulate the cooling system a bit better as this old girl runs solely on gas, thanks to a flash lube system.
The previous owner had stripped and lapped all the valves before I bought it, he also had the rear bulkhead replaced about 3 years ago, along with a new radiator fitted as well. The rear spring shackles have been welded but are solid and the bulkhead is solid although there is one small hole near the drivers side hinge its never got any bigger and isn't an MOT failure.
Mechanically this old girl is pretty solid she is running a 2.6litre straight 6 with an overdrive unit too. unfortunately 2nd gear synchromesh is quite weak, but overall it drives very well.
The bodywork is a typical land rover wearing its scrapes and marks with pride, the most I have done is wash it since I've owned it and wipe it over with an oily rag, as I don't think a land rover looks right with perfect paint.
The interior is ok there are no rips or tears and it appears all there, I wanted to reinstate the two rear bench seats but alas i am selling it as is.
It has 12 months test on it and is ready to drive away.
£2500ono
any questions please ask away, inspection welcome.
Thanks
Tom
