Overview
• Car purchased in Feb 2014 in Jersey, Restoration project never started, Came to Jersey in 2013 and was never locally registered, so no UK duty to pay or anything, car has just been on a long holiday
• Stored in dry secure condition for the last two years since it has being Jersey and not used in the rain since.
• Still on original UK plates - Has VC5 certificate and assorted history and receipts folder dating back many years. HPI check ok.
• Car is a runner, previous owner did engine rebuild from bottom of its original 3k motor. There is some tappit sounds in the engine, runs a bit rough but could be sorted, I believe it’s a timing issue. Clean engine and engine bay.
• Also had - New metal fuel lines under the car, fuel hoses, electrics, water hoses
Specification
• Original 3k - 1.3 engine with 67,214 miles – Engine number matches VC5 and mileage
• Stock suspension, Steering rack (inner tie arms are worn need replacing) – This is main reason why car can’t be driven far
• Standard brakes - Not great and pedal is a bit soft. There is no fluid leaking, but is likely to be the master cylinder or rear drum cylinders on the way out.
• 4 x 114.3 stud upgrade to take JDM wheels
• Mk1 Celica Wheels (Not included in above price) - Will provide old steel wheels for transport
• Leather interior in clean condition. Relatively free of scuffs and car feels clean.
• Walnut dash (original dials), matching steering wheel and gear knob
• Fully working electrics (indicators, brakes, headlights, dash etc)
Bodywork
• Body is very much 'Alright'. It has been sprayed well for an amateur job but is far from perfect. Really cool 70’s colour that gets a lot of compliments. Car originally used to be White
• Door sill bottoms under of arches and sills are good with no worrying rust. Boot floor is in fine condition along with strut top pillars and windscreen corners. A bit of rust on the front O/S valance. Chrome bumpers are spotted with rust and could do with replacing.
• Has had strip down respray as engine bay is same colour as body, no overspray or anything
• Bodywork is MOT passable with welding already done by previous owner. Has had some welding to N/S sill below C pillar before its last MOT in 2013.
• Window seals etc in good condition but there is a box with assorted bits of trim such as sill plates and gutter chrome trim that needs sorting out as some were not properly refitted after its spray job.
