1995 BMW 525i Sport, in Avus Blue, with silver leather interior.
This is a very original car in very good unrestored condition. It has a thick sheaf of history and all the service books are present. It has been enthusiast owned for the past several years and well looked after.
It is one of the nicest colours available on these, Avus Blue, and the paint still gleams even in the winter sun. There are a few small bits of lacquer peel (mainly the bootlid) to contend with. The rust spots are limited to the bottom corner of the drivers door, a blister underneath the fuel filler cap and along the hidden seal above the rear licence plate - all of which are still easily rectified. There is also a small dent just above the swage line on the passenger front door. Otherwise the car is dent-free. All the bumper towing eye covers are present (often missing on Sports) and the bumpers are not cracked or fatigued.
The engine is the super-reliable M50tuB25 six cylinder with 192bhp, with waves of torque and with the up to date service history (including service done at MOT time) there is little doubt that there are many miles left to add to the below-average 144,800 it shows presently. The automatic gearbox shifts well and shows no signs of slipping or other untoward behaviour.
It wears the correct BBS 15" cross-spoke alloy wheels, and the correct sizes of tyres with good levels of tread all round. The Sport suspension provides a comfortable ride that does not get out of shape should you press on, and there are no squeaks or shakes anywhere in the driveline.
The silver leather interior is in astonishingly good condition, with no wear worth mentioning to any of the seats or trim. It shows no discolouration either and with the black dash/door tops it is a good combination that still looks fresh and sharp today. Being a Sport model, it has the Bird's Eye Maple dark wood trim, which adds a premium touch. The instruments all work as they should, and there are no electrical gremlins or error messages to report. There is also a full set of keys with the car, and it has been washed and valeted ready for sale. The MOT was passed on the first attempt so it has a full test until 14th January 2017.
Location is Dungannon, Co. Tyrone, available to view during the daytime most days by arrangement, and the price just £1,950.
