I had to go to Slough yesterday from Swindon on the way there I saw a transporter with a GT40 on the Westbound carriage way, without the front and rear clam-shells. On my way home mid afternoon I saw the same transported/car on the hard shoulder east bound. Seemed a bit odd to be moving it without the clam-shells in the weather, I'm guessing it was going for some set up somewhere. Also a battered Honda Acty pick on a transporter (westbound).
To cap it all off in Swindon later afternoon an immaculate Ford Zephyr 4, light green looking completely standard. Look very wide and fragile in the modern traffic.
Seem to be spotting more retro's recently, a black Granada MK2 estate near Kingston last week and what looked like a Subaru SVX taxi (must have been hallucinating for that one). Parked next to an early Beetle dropped front with nice patina in Unilever, Gloucester, car park.
I knw useless without pictures.
