I have looked on google for the last hour but no joy, lots about running a supply 10 feet from your house to a garage but thats not what I'm after unfortunately...
what it is, i'm looking to make an offer on a neighours detached garage, as they're like gold dust around here, and i could really do with one.
it is up the street from me, at the end of the garden for this property & opens out on to the street.
i would like to have power in there for tools and a radio etc. it has what looks like an electric roller door, so i guess there is a supply in there already although probably run from the house with a cable running under their garden.
would it just be a matter of getting a meter fitted to the existing supply (keeping in mind it is already supplied from another house), or run a new supply (there is an overhead cable post about 10 meters from the garage along the path).
obviously if i do get lucky and buy it, i would want it to have its own independent electric supply, i wouldnt want to bother anyone else with dividing bills etc.
it would be awesome just to have a garage, as parking is absolutely terrible around here (3:1 availability and dents are likely), but to have a bit of usable work space would be incredible.
