Retro? I think just about, especially as it's a 4 speed........
So I picked up this Clio a few months ago with a popped head gasket and I got all misty eyed about it cos I had one as my 1st real car so I fixed it and used it as a run around. I rather like it but I'm loosing some of my parking spaces and have to trim the fleet down so it's got to go.
So here are the stats:
Tax: yes currently, so you can drive it home but then the new rules mean you have to tax it.
MOT: got a year last week so it's MOTD until Jan 2017
Mileage: just over 100k and rising on the regular, currently 100,450ish.
Car: 1.2 base grade Clio MK1 with 5 doors, 4 forward gears and not a lot else bar a cassette player. The things it does have all seem to work, although the parcel shelf is a bit droopy.
Stuff I've done:
Head gasket including head skim and clean
Cam belt
New battery
Full service
New wiper blades
Made the heater fan work (common Clio problem)
Put fuel in the
I think it's a great little run around, they are actually getting a bit rare. I know they aren't worth much but it's got a years ticket so £350??? Usually I revel in swaps but a lack of parking spaces means is need a creative swap that isn't a car really.
