1977 mk1 fiesta 950cc july 23rd mot has only ever covered 35.074 miles from new, and is in 100% solid tidy condition throughout ( NEVER BEEN WELDED AT ALL) this is the best little classic car I have ever driven and the heaters 100% too. THIS CAR IS NOT A WELDED UP ROT BOX it has been wax oiled from new and re-done every other year since made, hence .....no rot or welding at all..... the previous owner was 81 when he died last year having owned and maintained the car from it been 1 year old. the car also benefits from a great reg number if you happen to own a xr2 .....XGR 2R..... he also uprated the wheels to ford ghia alloys, the front seats are a ford upgrade and he bought every ford extra going glove box cover, centre console, ect ect and had a sunroof fitted. even has a period alarm.
(I will upload my pics when I figure out how to do it again)
please any questions just give me a call the cars at sr3 sunderland and before you do £3800 is the best price so don't waste your time asking and being ignored (paul 07837 671450) as the reg number alone is worth quite a bit.
cheers

What's with the red exhaust? Has it just been painted? I'd guess it has going by that and the overspray on the tyres

I had the bottom flashed in last year as the sills and both front and rear valances where thick with underseal, and after I scraped it off, only to reveal 100% mint and original panels all round. the exhaust now shining chrome with it also being new throughout, so rest peacefully in your beds as the panics over. (wish that's all I had to worry about a bit over spray)

Don't think it's the overspray that worries people it's the quality of workmanship. If I had a mint Mk1 and it needed paint I'd hand it to someone that knew how to mask an area off before attacking it with a rattlecan. Overspray that bad is indicative of a half arsed job. At the money you're asking it wants to be right.

What would worry me is if only "The bottom half was flashed in" how come the rubber around rear screen has paint on ?? Also being wet and looking very orange peely sets alarm bells ringing But having said that In fairness to the car if it's half as solid /Straight as it looks and having the number plate aswell the price isn't massively unreasonable .. But as vOc says shame more care wasn't taken when it was painted ... That's my two peneth

Any pre paint shots? All OK with the front end of the offside sill and the bottom of the trailing edge of the OSF wing? Door mirror and rear bumper trim still there?
