A freind has just bought a 79 granada mk2 built by Broadspeed in need of restoration and we're trying to find some information on them. The car he bought is a black mk2 2.8 injection with a twin turbo conversion, with an old Irish reg 300 OZH. We know there was another silver car featured in some magazenes reg no FLY2T, this number is now on a jag which probably does't bode well. Does anyone know if it survives or what happened to it? Any other information on how many were actually built (we were told eight cars) would be much appreacated. I've googled the hell out of this and just can't find another mk2 Granada Broadspeed or anything else about them.

Although both of Dutch origin with large v8 engines and mad as a box of frogs The engine has been striped for years and was in the boot with the turbos when he bought the car, so no complete engine bay pics I'm afraid. We placed all the bits together and it seems like a pretty straight forward system apart from the "wife switch" end of things, but we'll figure it out. I'm really looking for information on mk2 granadas converted by Broadspeed, I have a sneaking suspition there was only two ever built and this is the only one left. If there are more it's hard to belive they cant be found anywhere on the net, hopefully someone on here will know something.

Hi. I used to work at W H Perrys ltd I used to work on FLY 2T. BROADSPEED Twin Turbo. Had a key operated switch on the dash. Was a low compression engine used to run AG901 racing plugs. Had to swap them out for NGK because cold start difficulties. When t came to end of the project. I had to convert it back to a standard 2.8i. Had to change exhaust also because it had a balance pipe between both banks. Engine was left in parts department for ages. One of the dealer principals wanted to put it in a Tvr. Left so never knew what happened to engine. Only 3 Broadspeed twin turbo were made i was told. Neil Smith was dealer principal at Perrys edgware. He run the car.
