Remake of the upper panel did not happen as I chose to continue with the removeable panel works - drilled for 3mm rivets Double checking for fit as we went Front panel aligned and drilled Ready for bonding and fitment of 76 rivets The workday was a bit shorter than normal as there was a local car show I walked to the dog to for a bit and the snooze fest of an F1 GP to watch - These are far better to watch And listened to more Surf. Need to order some countersunk rivets for sitting under the removeable panel.

It's all relative. I am far from being in a position to buy/afford the car I actually own .. LOL
Ordered another few hundred pop rivets to get the bulkhead done - domed and countersunk. The pops I have at the moment are 3mm min panel thickness and I have 1.2 + 0.8 and 1.5 + 0.8 to join so I need some smaller rivets. Also ordered up some black large head anodised rivets whilst I was at it.
Darn it, just remembered whilst typing this that there another load of rivets I need to order.

I really love watching this come together. This is the first "kit car" I fell in love with. One day maybe I'll get to build one of my own.

Under offer already. As nice as it is being a low mileage example - would present better on the original wheels - it does not actually appeal to me - They never really have! Although mine has grown on me over the years - The Stradale just seems to lack that bit of drama.

Under offer already. That's a shame, I was going to wait a bit then bid him in the balls...

It’s interesting to read the full history on Stratos since the Boss of Lancia Cesare Fiorio had no interest in the Stradale only interest was to build a car to win Lancia a championship hence Stradale was just means to an end Hence I love cars based on racing not the general the normal way

A successful day - Completed all the prep drilling on the chassis. Then pushed on with sealant and rivets - so no during pictures as hands covered in sealer and did not want to get it all over the phone. Then onto the centre removeable panel - again no during shots as it was also a bit messy. Very happy with the close fit at the back. Drops in easily and is nice and snug and drops out easily as well. Next jobs will be the final upper rear panel(s) and the fixings to hold the access panel in - may just drill and tap - but if not secure enough I will use rivnuts.

Carried on with the firewall this evening. First up a little bit of CAD to assist me with the decision about how I will close of the rear - I have decided to attempt to do it 3 separate panels. The end two will be made as one panel I then turned attention to the fixings for the removeable panel Marked. Drilled and tapped That will work Another half a job done - the other halves will have to wait until later in the week as its Pizza night with the Ginetta lads tomorrow.

If this was me I'd be too tempted not to do it. Its all looking great Just tongue in cheek. My lads reaction was less restrained. Beautiful work my friend! Just beautiful! You are too kind looking great, super neat have you seen Oliver and his Dad building the mosquito on Youtube? They got to this stage last week. I am on a couple of GTM FB groups as I quite fancy a Coupe - To be honest I am not a fan of what he's done. Being blunt it looks utterly daft. A bit like the Binky Mini - all a bit too Carlos Fandago

don't worry the final bodywork will be something special Cannot really see it being my taste but as long as he's happy that's all that matters. I have a very particular less is more / if it looks right it is right / don't spend £50K building a car you can buy for £20K view on projects. Finished the mounting of the removeable panel. Just need to reach a bit further with the panel wipe ! Rear panels tomorrow - Then I need to get the front clam on to sort the rad mounts and the front inner side panels
