It always takes a while! and it is always late! ... but here it is : retrorides.proboards.com/board/53/rrawards2015I'll try and get the awards event firmed up, fingers crossed we can do it in person this year (last year had a number of mitigating factors that stopped the actual event taking place). Thanks to everyone that nominated. I am SO excited by the whole 'thing' we're all a part of at the moment, the Cars of The Year are amazing, the Most Anticipated has some really incredible things happening. Brilliant stuff.

Shame MmmBognor's nomination didn't make the shortlist. Which one? I spent 9 hours over the past two days putting this together and the first comment is this. Thanks Dan you really are a special kind of guy.

My only problem was trying to decide who to vote for! They're all worthy of winning!

Being one of the unfortunate ones lumbered with an iPad, I am not sure if my votes in the various categories have been recorded. I tick the box for which one I want to vote for, but there doesn't seem anyway to get to the next category without going back? Nothing to do with you, just a vagarity of ipadness..... Any way to check if my votes have been logged?
Thanks Johnny

Sorted except for one category I know nothing about.
Hopefully registered ok as android is not a useful friend of proboards.

RR Voting tips/InstructionsHi All RR'rs wanting to vote in the Awards You are able to vote once in each thread and once only (see note) To place your vote in any Awards "Voting" thread click the empty box beside what you want to vote for and a green tick will appear That's it - your vote is registered - there is no confirmation or go button (Note) If you make a mistake or want to change your vote - click on the green tick which will be visible whenever you go into the thread and it will disappear - you are then able to select another box to tick and a green tick will appear there. Just for Information - All the total voting is hidden till the Polls expire or are locked (which will be early Jan I think) - you should be able to see how many people have voted but not the scores on the doors Note for Mobile Devices (Phones and stuff)It seems the polls are not liked/visible by "mobile device" However if you click the desktop version right at the bottom of the page the poll is then visible you should be able to vote or even amend my vote Don't forget to click it back to mobile - it's not so easy to view the forum on a mobile device in desktop mode PS - any further questions pop em up in either Here - Website Feedback" or Here - "General board" as there is no reply facility in this section

Shame MmmBognor's nomination didn't make the shortlist. I'll revisit this post and add others as I think of/remember them. Car Of The Year One from back at the beginning of the year for this section from me. It seems to me that it takes an RR philosophy - taking what works in once scene and appling it to an unexpected model or from out of that scene. This to me takes the best of traditional JDM/zokusha style, with a healthy portion of drifty excess, I nominate the Ultrabox BMW 2002Edit: A second nomination in this category from me, the Spark Prince Skyline S54R. Those Wheels. New Thread Of The Year Community Person Of The Year Can I add community people for this category? and nominate corners stones of the south central sort of area RR collective that are TAB. Hardcore, Elk, MantaPhil and VIP - Friends, advisors and hosts of several memorable, and thoroughly looked forward to events throughout the year in their darkest east sussex HQ. Best Media I'm nominating here a source I've highlighted in my shared thread, and one that is regularly responsible for some of it's content, the facebook page for Parachoques Cromados. The Brazillian society/culture page posts a great mix of stance muscle and classic cars with a heavy dose of some of my South American favourites such as the Chevy Opala, Ford Corcel and the continents unique VWs. Event Of The Year Readers Other Modifications Most Anticipated 2016 Car of the year : Ultrabox 2002 - Check Spark Prince Skyline - Check Community Person Of the year : TAB Collective - Check Best Media : Parachoques Cromados - Check Oh wait I see, you want each individual member of the TAB Collective separately, AND as a group (because they are nominated as a group by other folk too). Seemed a bit counter intuitive as they are nominated by Mark as a group pretty much. Sorry that you may only get some kind of recognition as part of a group, then again it may work in your favour, as Mark, Phil and Andy are quite popular.

I note the Volvo didn't make it into the car of the year either. Nope, a number of cars (I think two or three) were nominated in Most Anticipated and in Car Of The Year, I looked at the threads/situation with the build and took a view on whether they were finished, yours was one I figured was not finished yet, so I put it in Most Anticipated rather than Car Of The Year. I think the other cars also ended up in Most Anticipated as well. One car that was nominated for Car Of The Year I could find no trace of, no pictures in the nomination, nothing online (anywhere), so I couldn't put its nomination into the list appropriately. No slight or conspiracy, just trying to keep it all straight and making sense.

I had meant for the tab collective to have a group nomination, even though I had named the main members individually. I don't have much of a way with words.

So having been a good boy and voted, several things have struck me. The quality of the nominations makes my head hurt when it comes to making an actual decision. So apologies to those I didn't vote for, it's only because I couldn't! I didn't vote in the event of the year as I've only been to one and that was the Manila Salon, which I didn't nominate and even if I had, I wouldn't have voted for it The whole process has done as we've discussed before and sent me off looking at other threads I'd missed over the course of the year. That's a good thing, right? I noticed my name in the Community Person bit and wondered how the hell that happened. I'm both flattered and puzzled as to how I wind up alongside the likes of Grizz, MM, luckyseven, et al. Thanks to whoever, but please vote for someone more deserving. I did! And finally, it's been a great RR year and long may it continue

The very last nomination on the thread, which you acknowledged, was for TaBmas as Event of the Year. Wasn't even aware that the TaB Collective had been nominated until I went to vote.
