Here's my Mk2 Scirocco GTII in white with 91,000 miles. I've owned it for a few years but its been tucked away whilst I've been buying a house, doing it up and generally working too many hours. I'm struggling to get the time to get the Scirocco done so I may aswell see if its of any interest to anyone on here.
Up until two years ago it had stood in a friends yard, on gravel and under a tree since '02.
I've stripped the interior out, wet-vac'd the seats and carpets and stashed that away. The interior is in fantastic condition, grey boulsters and the usual GTII tartan centres.
I've regularly turned the engine over by hand but not had it running.
I was blown away with the condition of the underside, its better than my '04 A3. See the photo's!!!
The paint is passed rescuing from being under a tree for so long before I took ownership, definately needs a respray. There's a small dent on the nearside rear quarter corner from my frends yard years ago and some paint came away from the nearside door when a rub strip was removed.
I've been through the car and the only rust I've found is a tiny patch behind the rear number plate and some in the offside front wheel arch/bulkhead - pics to follow.
I've carefully cleaned the whole underside and amazed how the steel brake lines are still gloss green, track rods are still satin black.
Ideal for someone to reshell they're rusty scirocco - respray this and refit.
How to price this??? no idea really and I'm open to offers. To comply with the rules £600.
