You may recall I had this up for sale in the summer this year. A sale went through and a deposit was received, but whilst at the MOT station the car suffered a catastrophic failure of the fuel system and had to be removed from sale. This has now been fixed, the car has a new fuel pump, and new fuel filter. It has not turned a wheel under it's own power since the MOT and had no advisories either. Some of the things that were wrong with it in the previous listing have been fixed, I've left these in with an explanation so you can tell what's been done.

I've owned this since late 2014, and its a perfectly lovely car, I've just not fallen in love with it enough to keep it.
It's got a 3.0 12v in it with a Gold Top head (I'm told that good). It leaks/burns a VERY little oil (find a 12v that doesn't). It runs perfectly smooth and quiet, although the rear manifold has a slight blow. The autobox also works perfectly smoothly.
Cosmetically, I'd call the exterior 'scruffy but solid'. It has virtually no rust, apart from the O/S rear wheel arch leading edge/sill trailing edge where it looks like something caught the arch lip and folded it out a bit, and the rot got into the subsequent paint cracking. It's heavy surface rust with a couple of spots that have gone through the arch. Perfectly and easily saveable without too much work. The only other real area of rust is a surface scab on the bottom of the N/S front door. On the bonnet, wing tops, roof and bootlid there is typical GM lacquer fade/peel which is significant. Again, the metalwork itself is fine, apart from a couple of dents in the sunroof.
O/S front corner has had a bump at some point, cracking the bumper. It's been poorly repainted on the N/S rear quarter and rear door at some point, the lacquer is matt here and the pinstripe came off when I first jet washed it.
Its obviously been lowered, cut stock springs at the front which are wire tied into the cups, and Golf 4-Motion lowering springs at the rear. It still rides never nicely, not harsh or crashy. When I took the original rear springs out the spring platforms crumbled to dust (common GM trait of this era), so new spring plates were made from 3mm steel plate and welded in. There is no tyre scrubbing, all four arches are rolled and pulled. Wheels are Opel Monza alloys with good tread. I HAVE A SET OF STOCK SPRINGS THAT WILL COME WITH THE CAR IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KEEP IT LOWERED!
Interior is in very good condition, black velour is clean and free from tears/holes. This has the digital dash, which is typically 80s GM temperamental. Speedo works on and off,unsure whether the issue is with the dash or at the signal feed end this has been diagnosed as a dodgy speed sender in the gearbox. I have a replacement used item that will come with the car, odometer never counts up, and the fuel gauge reads wrong, which I'm told is something to do with it having a Carlton petrol tank. Basically it reads full until half a tank, then counts down the last half a tank on the upper half of the scale, so basically when it reads half a tank its empty. Easy to get used to, and I'm sure the fix probably isn't much work either has been fixed whilst the fuel tank was out, a Monza sender unit has been used which relies on a different height of tank. Basically I've bent the float arm so that a zeroed gauge means empty. Central locking needs adjusting, key in drivers door unlocks all doors but you have to lock them manually. Electric sunroof doesn't work, it would be a fuse but I've never looked at it. works fine, it just needed some 'exercising' and lubrication through lack of use. All the windows work fine. Comes with CD head unit, needs an adaptor for the aerial to listen to the radio. Only part missing in the interior is the kickpanel which goes over the ECU by the drivers foot. Someone on here was breaking a Monza and had the part available, I just never got around to purchasing it.
I will deliver this car to anywhere in the UK upon receipt of a reasonable deposit, so no "If only you weren't so far away" posts!
