Hi all, i'm considering painting my Subaru pickup with graffiti paint. Trying to search for images in google for this is a pain as you invariably end up with a lot of this: and very few cars painted a single colour using graffiti paint! I know there's a few guys on here who have used it (Rich, stealthstylz to name a couple), but i've only seen a few cars with it actually applied. Does anyone have some photos of it on cars? Cheers George

I know you've already seen them but for the purpose of the thread.. Hard wearing and easy to repair when and if damaged.. Cheap and easy. And not shiny.

Strange, that one came to my mind too MTN 94 Graffiti paint. Bloody brilliant stuff! Available in about 160 colours, and with a nice fat spray cap, any idiot can paint a car with it - even me! www.mtncolors.com/mtn-94/Because of the exchange rate, buy it from Germany - €3.75 a tin, so about £2.70. Even with postage, it's way cheaper than any UK store. I get my supplies from here: www.graffitiboxshop.de/And yes, they speak English...

This got me thinking. How many cans of say MTN 94 would it take to do a whole car?
I know in the E55 thread, he had a whole box of them, but he didn't say how much was needed to actually do the car/what was left over.

I think it depends on how well you want to paint it. I have gone through 6 cans so far and have only painted the lower half of my Prelude so far.

But it's a big car and I laid the paint on thick, did all the door shuts etc. Probably get away with 10-12 for your average Golf sized motor. It's a cheap way to paint a car however many you use!

Depending on how amazing you want it to look and how many coats you give it will determine the number of cans but I painted the disco with 9 iirc, and the finish is still as good as it'll ever be.

I've painted my Rickman 3 times now with mtn Hardcore with the only prep being a flatting with green Scotch pads, panel wipe and a tack rag. I used between 10 and 12 cans each time and the coverage is so good that it only needed one coat.

Hmmm I have 8 cans of Montana Black to do my Polo, maybe I need more.
How have people painted. Just nice thick coat or couple of thinner coats?
