I Have had a few capris in my relatively tender years ( I'm 26 ) and my first car was a 2.0S that started life in strato silver and was promptly rattle canned black and driven about on the tiniest of budgets with a large amount of bodge it for now and ill sort it properly later mentality and the later never came.
69 cars later and the opportunity came up to purchase a capri that was dry (ish) stored and untouched hell even unseen for 19 years for an absurdly cheap price. so thats what i did.
Then I made a decision to go self employed and working on cars took a back seat while i worked myself into the ground trying to build up a bit of a reputation. Fast forward the best part of a year and not only am I Busier then I have ever been before I am getting PAID properly for it!
so I have decided to take most of january off work to play with my capri and get it back on the road.
a few things need to be Purchased and a lot of spanner wielding has to happen but I will have a capri with an MOT by the end of jan.
Plans involve ,
2.1 Pinto Lightened and Balanced , Forged Rods , Arp Bolts, big Valve head , Lairy camshaft , Bike Carbs
some epic wheels I will post pictures of as soon as i can assure myself they will fit incase i cant have them.. 16x8 and 16x9
Leather / Alcantara interior retrim in black with red stitching fresh carpet , fully dynamatted with discreet stereo install hopefully with functioning original knobs for volume and tuning but we will see on that front.
New Suspension and braking system a host of polybushes and a few bits of remedial paintwork (leading edge of bonnet is rusty and theres a dent on the passenger rear 1/4
picked up the engine tonight !
