Some time soon I'm moving the family Capri on and have a hankering for old barges, in my search I came across the for sale ad in the link below, does anybody know anything about them? Parts availability, how they drive etc? Does the price in the ad appear realistic? (I know it's hard to tell from an ad) BMW E23

Absolutely not a stupid idea at all, there fantastic cars. Parts availability really isn't as bad as you'd think for most things, many mechanical parts are interchangable with BMW's E24/E28 etc. That looks like a £2 grand car to me, the series 1's are more desirable to most people.
