So, I'm looking to replace the mains lamp I have in the garage, one of those ones with a hook on the top and a long lead on the bottom.
I'm after something rechargeable instead, I only use it for an hour at a time and I'd rather free up a plug for something else.
Does anyone use anything particularly good? Would be good if it was magnetic aswell, a hook isn't always much good in a wheel arch!
Thanks!

Led jobbies from lidl are about £8 when they have them in, and come with a car and a mains charger. I bought one on a whim but it's prooved pretty indispensable, will grab a few more when they next have them in.
Edit- they have a hook on the top, are magnetic, and last for many hours on one charge. I used it as our sole source of light at the gathering and it did a whole weekend without a charge.

The Aldi LED ones turn off if you MIG weld near them, other than that they are really good. Not to snap on standards of brightness but then again you could buy 10 for the price of a snap on one.

News to me. I often stick it in a wheel arch or similar confined space when welding and am welding within less than a foot of it and mines never done it.

I'm guessing some sort of phase type interference, no idea how though, also had it happen when using a 110v chop saw with a 240v LED work light plugged in on the same circuit - damn annoying it was too, all set up to do the cut and you're suddenly plunged into darkness

Hi, I've not heard of this with LED lights as such, but I've read that mains flood lights with LED lamps in them can effect the PIR movement sensors.

Malins do a green rechargeable led work light free standing and same style as pir. I've bought one and tbh don't regret it however the only issue I have is battery life is only 4-6 hours
