Toyota MR2 T-bar, currently in use but will require some work before it's next MOT. The current ticket runs until January 16th.
I have been using the car since January 2015, it has been reliable and great fun.
There are plenty of cosmetic jobs which could be done, for instance the paintwork is far from perfect and the alloy wheels are scruffy. The interior is generally tidy except for wear and tear on the drivers leather seat bolster.
There is also a broken plastic surround to the drivers internal door handle. T-bar seals drip water, which shouldn't be a surprise to anyone who's owned one!
The roof shades and stowage bags are included with the car.
The following items ought to be looked at:
Speedo and trip counter has recently stopped working, suspect speedo cable is broken.
Gearshift to second gear is slow, otherwise gears grind. I have a spare gearbox which will go with the car.
One wheel loses air very slowly, maybe 1-2psi over a week.
There is a large blister in the paint at the back of the nearside sill. I've not investigated, but it obviously suggests some attention's needed.
Mileage currently shown is 139134. Since the speedo cable failed the car has covered a couple of thousand miles more, however the readings won't increase.
Despite these issues, the car drives very nicely and has been totally reliable over the past year. The engine is strong, smooth and starts easily.
It received a new catalytic converter, front pipe and Lambda sensor last year, in addition to all new brake pads.
I will honestly be very sorry to see this one go, but I no longer have the workspace to treat this as a project.
