2000 Audi A6 1.8T SE in Silver. Manual 5 speed. 4 Door.
164,000 miles.
MOT until 23rd April 2016.
Front mount intercooler.
Coilovers.
De-cat downpipe.
Remapped with a standard 210Bhp map.
19" Alloy wheels.
Good points:
Recent self service: Plugs, oil, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter.
Replaced window regulator on driver window.
The stereo volume control works fine, another common problem.
6 disc autochanger in the boot.
Brand new tyres all around, all keep air, so no cracks on the 19" wheels.
Drives straight, lots of replacement arms and bushes by previous owner.
Loads of receipts.
The trim on dash and door has been upgraded to wooden look with Quattro logo, obviously this isn't a Quattro model.
Bad points:
The coilovers need slight height adjustment because the arches catch the tyres from time to time.
Rear bumper is from a different model, therefore a slightly different shade, plus the rear exhaust cut out is in the wrong place.
There are holes on the front bumper for parking sensors, but there are no sensors.
The brake pad wear indicator sensors were cut off by a previous owner, so the brake warning light is on.
The ABS light is on, VCDS says this is a sensor on the front passenger seat/door.
Mark on the front passenger door.
Front n/s arch has caught the tyre.
Rear n/s window winder or switch is faulty. Window needs help going up.
Carpet worn through under the clutch pedal.
The 19" wheels have been rattle-canned, one of which is missing a spigot ring to centre it on the hub correctly.
The previous owner fitted full cream leather interior from a car which has a rear boot firewall, not folding down seats, so the rear bench is not seated right.
Previous owner replaced steering wheel with a sportier 3 spoke, but has lost the controls to the stereo. You will have to reach over to the stereo.
Due to a low power issue, I replaced the following items:
Oil breather pipe work and suction pump, prone to breaking.
Recently replaced fuel pump.
New fuel pressure regulator.
New MAF.
(Drives much better and cleared the rich fuelling problem, but still doesn't feel like 210bhp, so now maybe a small boost leak?)
Twice in the last month, with low fuel, the car has cut out on me, but then started again 2 minutes later. I put this down to the ebay fuel pump. When there's over a 3rd of a tank, it doesn't seem to happen.
Selling as spares or repairs, because of the issues above.
I've tried to be as honest as I can, as you can probably see, but if I remember anything else, I'll amend the advert.
PM me.
David.
