Quite simply, we're having a clear out.
For auction, this time around, we have a 2000 Citroen Xantia 2.0 HDI Saloon.
This is the 90bhp model, with 5 speed manual gearbox.
Starts first time, everytime!! No knocks, bangs or groans that shouldn't be there.
MOT failure sheet reads as follows;
001 - Offside front brake binding.
002 - Brake pedal creeps down when held under pressure.
003 - Service brake: efficiency below requirements.
Advisory items are that the front pads are wearing thin.
I haven't touched the vehicle since the MOT, as to be quite honest, I haven't had the time.
Current mileage is 81,770, and will not go up.
Front height corrector was stripped and rebuilt in 2013.
Scrape to the drivers door where it was caught on a gate pillar by the previous owner, it isn't down to the metal, so I haven't seen a need to repair it immediately. For the previous MOT, in 2013, it required a patch on the O/S sill.
Power steering pipe has been replaced by myself, which is becoming a common failure on these vehicles. The part is discontinued by PSA.
So, other than needing the brakes rebuilding, there isn't much for it to fail its MOT on.
Car WILL need to be taken away on a trailer or transporter - this car will NOT be driven away!
Any questions, please ask away!!
More pictures available if required.
