Before I spend a day putting this back to standard(ish) to sell it, I’m offering it with the ‘premium’ bits fitted, if it doesn’t go quickly I’ll start taking these bits off and selling separately so if you like the sound of it as it stands, be quick!
The ‘best bits’
Cusco 4 point roll bar with diagonal
OMP 300mm steering wheel (need to double check the diameter, but it’s small and nice to hold)
AEM wideband and gauge
Choice of wheels - either the retro 14x7 5 spokes, recently refurbished and with excellent Vredestein Sportrac 5 (2 are new!) or 14” Mazda BBS (inc centre caps!) with R888s (have at least one more track day in them) or some mk2 stock 14” wheels also with excellent Sportrac 5s (could discount a little if you took it with these)
1.8 brakes with Axxis Ultimate pads and grooved/drilled disks
HEL braided brake lines
TA Technix coilovers
Tuned AFM
If anyone is interested in any of the above feel free to express your interest in to me via pm and I’ll give you first refusal if I do part out the good bits. Please note that I do intend to sell as a a good and working car so I’m not breaking for any essential bits! Please don’t clog up this thread with requests for parts as I’m hoping it will go as it stands, as it really is a great package!
The car itself is a ’92 Eunos, as an import it benefits from a no cat emissions test/MOT for those with further mods in mind
Generally it’s in good condition, the paint work could do with some attention but from a few paces it looks good. Bits in need of attention (some of which I might take a look at if it doesn’t go quickly) are some crazing on the front bumper, cracked paint on all arches where they were rolled (but no rust and they’ve been cleaned and undersealed inside), some rust/cracked filler on the front edge of the OSF wing (easy to bolt on a replacement) and the tops of the sills in the door shuts where the stainless sill protectors (removed) have rubbed through the paint and caused some surface rust. I have several spray cans of matched paint, just haven’t gotten around to sorting it. There’s also a small 1cm bubble on the rear of the near side sill, which hasn’t gotten any worse since spring.
Mechanically it’s great, never let me down and always starts straight away, even after being left sitting for several weeks. Performed faultlessly at the few track days that I’ve done too. Handles well and the brakes are superb thanks to the Axxis pads, HEL braided lines and ATE TYP200 fluid, not even a hint of fade after a 25 minute track session on a very hot day.
The odometer still reads in kms as the mph conversion is a dial face rather than mechanical, it’s done about 96k miles
MOT is until April 2016, it’s passed every MOT since I got it with no advisories
Price as it stands, with one set of wheels: £1250
Price without the ‘best bits’ is tbc subject to what I get around to removing, as a standard(ish) car it'll be around £800
I have a few bits that I removed or didn’t get around to fitting that I will list separately (along with whatever wheels don’t go with the car: Cusco brake m/c brace, harness bar, standard AFM, complete set of 1.6 discs and pads with very little use (basic MX5 parts kit), new original Mazda cam cover gasket and cas o-ring.
