How is this a lesson learned? Buying things based on a description is risky due to opinion on damage etc, but you should be able to trust that it's roughly as advertised and usable. The pictures above vs the description are an out and out lie.
Push for a refund on the wings, and for the missing parts.

I would only be asking for a partial refund anyways, and would always start with a pleasant email. I will see how I get on. Yeah,theres every chance they had a battle getting em off and are expecting a mail about them!

At the very least insist that he supplies the missing indicator.

makes you wonder if these were on a car and boss man described them to you , then once paid for a worker damaged them and sent them off without saying the flanges etc were mullered
