This MGA has been in the ownership of Robert Gammage, chairman of the MG car Club UK, since 1988 and competed in various historic rally events including the 2000 Monte Carlo Challange.
The car comes complete with 2 folders of documents dating back to 1988 and include invoices totalling over £27,000.
The car was dry stored in 2003 and remained that way until last year.
It has now undergone a sympathetic restoration and looks stunning.
We have fitted many new parts including most of the chrome work, suspension front and back and new stainless steel exhaust.
The engine was rebuilt in the 90's and includes a stage 1 unleaded head with fast road cam.
The chassis is rust free and has been painted in Frost's gloss black chassis paint.
It features many parts making it eligable for various historic rally/ race events including a plumbed in fire extinguisher kit, Saftey Devices roll cage,
4 point willans harnesses, Works spec bucket seats, stainless steel sump and petrol tank guard and a new Brantz International pro 2 rally computer.
The cooling system has been upgraded with the addition of a new aluminium radiator and Evans waterless coolant
We have the original owners handbook and heritage certificate.
It was previously issued with FIA documents which have now lapsed however it would'nt take much to bring it up to 2015 FIA spec if desired.
The car features a lightweight fibreglass hard top.
