Having owned this for a few months and had a lot of fun with it, space constraints dictate that it needs to go, to make space for something slightly more practical!
It is a tax exempt 1971 J reg. 1600 Baja Beetle, stickered/painted up to look like a Tamiya Sand Scorcher RC car. It has a current MOT til June next year ( I think, will check date) and according to my local VW restorer is really solid, although it has some rust bubbling on a couple of the seams as these are susceptible to. It runs pretty well although the carb could probably do with a fettle. It has had some new seats, but there is not much else in terms of interior! Tyres have plenty of tread!
Any questions, please feel free to ask, I'm open to swaps such as BMW E21, E28, E30, E34, Porsche 924, 944, Volvo 144, 242, etc etc
If the way it looks wasn't enough to make everyone stare (it certainly is!) it is also ridiculously loud and ideally needs a quieter exhaust (the one fitted isn't old/damaged, but it has no silencer/baffles whatsoever!) If it sells for close to the asking price I will fit a new one if required.
