Up for grabs is my 1977 Toyota Corona, its a 2.0 manual 18r engine with the 5 speed box, havent seen another in the UK!
Low mileage at around 97k, thats on average only 2.5k a year! But that will increase as i use it daily. I'm in no real rush to sell, its proving a very reliable car! Very few owners too, only 3 if i recall!
Full years MOT as of 12th November (expires 2016).
I took this to the gathering towing my teardrop trailer and it was great fun! Got lots of looks and always get compliments when I'm out driving it.
Its not in show worthy condition, but its pretty presentable for a 38 year old J! I will be doing some body work and tidying up in the next few weeks anyway. Interiors in pretty good nick, apart from the front carpets which i will most probably be replacing.
Only problems i can think of are it has no thermostat fitted so takes awhile to get warm (ill probably order and fit one before it sells anyway), think it might need a new headlight relay (all the lights work, but every so often headlights turn off and you have to flash the main beam for them to turn back on, again ill investigate further, happens probably every half hour or so but is fine once you flash them back on). Oh and the interior clock has stopped working.
Overall its a great car, so much potential, ive been thinking about chucking a 1uzfe 4.0 v8 in it, slamming it and making it look like the pic at the bottom, but its too good for me to justify modifying when ive got too many other projects i need to finish haha. (I do have a spare v8 though.....)
Havent seen another Corona this style to gauge value so honest opinions guys? Ive seen a coupe sell for £4.5k which was probably abit tidier than my car but its hard to say.
On to the pics.
And potential.
Thanks for looking, feel free to ask any questions etc!
