Well, that time of year again! You know the drill by now, I do one of these every year - I go to the NEC Classic Car show for all 3 days, take lots of pictures, and update the album at the end of each day with new pics. Today's pics take place mostly in Halls 5, 4 and 3. I'll be covering the rest tomorrow. A quick apology - I was using my tripod to counteract the NEC's... how shall we say... challenging lighting. Whilst it worked, it also meant my photo taking angle options were limited, so apologies if this gets a bit repetitive. :/ Today's pics be here: www.flickr.com/photos/93233071@N06/sets/72157661171199791And appetisers be here: DSC_0013 by SamagesDubz, on Flickr DSC_0017 by SamagesDubz, on Flickr DSC_0043 by SamagesDubz, on Flickr DSC_0050 by SamagesDubz, on Flickr DSC_0064 by SamagesDubz, on Flickr DSC_0068 by SamagesDubz, on Flickr DSC_0079 by SamagesDubz, on Flickr DSC_0096 by SamagesDubz, on Flickr DSC_0108 by SamagesDubz, on Flickr Enjoy! More on the way tomorrow!

Your pics are infinitely better than mine and, once again, I see things I missed. We were there for 9am today but still didn't get all the way round before it got absolutely heaving.
Enjoyed it though. It strikes me as incredible and brilliant that muscle cars and hot rods attract bigger crowds than the Ferrari The Ferrari on the Fezza OC stand.

Excellent pics! Mine are mostly kinda orange. It's like seeing the world through a thin haze of Tango. Bloody NEC... ...it was weird today being bamboozled by Ant Anstead to take photos of competition winners for them cos the "proper" photographer had disappeared and they'd run out of time. Not something that happens every day Oh, and you got a great one of my new favourite car ever. DSC_0078 (3) by SamagesDubz, on Flickr Meadows FriskySport. Oh yes

Thanks again SamageMy picks from that lot curiously appear to be mainly racing cars DSC_0026 by SamagesDubz, on Flickr I'm VERY VERY keen to know more about this, details, its provenance etc. anyone able to hook me up? DSC_0051 by SamagesDubz, on Flickr Wedgey concept cars are never boring DSC_0137 by SamagesDubz, on Flickr Always love the dish on the back of these Alpines DSC_0009 (2) by SamagesDubz, on Flickr Aston race cars are best race cars DSC_0025 by SamagesDubz, on Flickr I still remember a time when I've never seen one of these before. They still delight me DSC_0038 (2) by SamagesDubz, on Flickr Alvis (I think) Rod, brilliant take on the whole American woody rod look, I love it DSC_0068 (2) by SamagesDubz, on Flickr Maserati race cars may be a close second to Astons DSC_0084 (2) by SamagesDubz, on Flickr Another firm favourite in the HTW house hold DSC_0012 (3) by SamagesDubz, on Flickr This appears to be some kind of TVR with a really odd front end treatment, I'm assuming it has some details behind it that make it rare and awesome? DSC_0092 (3) by SamagesDubz, on Flickr To be honest I could have picked out a load of other pictures too, the Roll Hard guys with the slammed Volvo, Mr.R.Cumberbatch's Imp styling it out on the Imp Club stand, a bunch of cool rods and things. It is nice to see though the retro stuff being spread about the place. I've always found it curious that the classic scene embraced race cars, but didn't like street cars so much. Grand stuff all round.

DSC_0092 (3) by SamagesDubz, on Flickr I'll admit, between manning the ABVWC stand and running round like an idiot trying to get photos, I didn't have a great deal of time for gathering info. The X1/9 belonged to this club - www.x1-9ownersclub.org.uk/ Perhaps it'd be worth tapping them up for details? The TVR is an oddity. All I know is that it's called a TVR Gem, it's a one-off, it's been through multiple incarnations in its lifetime, and has mostly been owned and developed by veteran race driver Tommy Entwistle. Its most recent owner is on Pistonheads - could be worth asking him? Pistonheads thread here.
