Love it, (and that slammed one? Ooof!) Paintwise, don't rule out roller painting, mine came out pretty well even if I say so myself That is gorgeous. And I have read your thread end to end. You Sir, have WAY more patience than me But I may try it. I do have a bit of a plan in mind. Working away this week and itching to get home and free it from the container...

Currently driving a '68 Karmann Ghia as my daily. Don't ask about previous cars - there have been way too many and I stopped counting at 160!

I'm not sure patience is one of my strong suits, I think it's called sheer bloody mindedness!!! And I kept putting it off but eventually just got on with it. The best thing about doing it this way is that you don't have to worry about scratches and the like afterwards as you can just redo it and having had expensive resprays before this is way more satisfying

IRS it, find a gearbox from a 1.9 tdi transporter And fit the 1.9 tdi or the 3cyl polo/lupo/what ever engine (tweek the 1.9 tdi 170 diesel hp Loads of tourqe and BLACK KILLER SMOKE!) ^^ This, or something similar. Congrats on getting a baja, my 1500 bug got a reshell then as panel gaps were curse word (previous owner) I baja'd it. Then wanted more power so now it's got an EJ20 sitting out the back, IRS with a 1300gt box and T2 inner cvs (larger/stronger). Goes like stink! Looking to upgrade the brakes and suspension to make the ride a bit more usable haha. Word of warning, once you start tinkering you never stop mines got the full alarm and central locking keyless entry system from the subaru legacy, custom electric windows, subaru seats, wiper and heater upgrade using subaru parts (see a theme going on here lol). There's a granada on here which I'm tempted to get in order to pull off the front A arms and custom make a front end (although that's a bit of a pipe dream!) Good luck with whatever you do!

Started to put some colour into it. Started off with this bit... Got this far before my two year woke and decided we should play sword fighting. This is going to take a while...and require LOTS more stickers... In the meantime, new wiper switch, battery and seat frames to go on tomorrow.

Finally managed to get this out the past couple of days. Working away a lot has meant it has spent about 6 weeks stuck in a container...which is not ideal. Have spent the last couple of days hooning around. And breaking the wiper switch. Not ideal... Have also finished stickerbombing the engine panel. The original plan was to do the whole car minus the wings. Now thinking of just doing the engine panel, the front chin panel and the nerf bars. But debating continuing up and doing the roof too. Decisions, decisions, decisions...
