I'm currently trying to support my mum, and as such, I'm broke.
The idea with the GTi was to treat it to some shiny bits and use it for fun. That's not going to happen. As such, it's up for sale.
It's a '97 GTi. Paint is a bit tired but for an Escort, it's remarkably rust free. It's creeping in on the lower rear arches, but it's a days work on the drive to fix it.
167 on the clock, but runs sweet.

Last owner had it for 4.5 years. He cherished it. Even kissed it goodbye when I bought it, bless him.
It drives well, but the clutch bites high. It doesn't slip though - I've driven it over 100 miles and it was fine.
Alpine head unit and Sony 6x9s, if that's your bag.
K&N and a Magnex (I think) stainless system.
MOT until MAY 2016.
I honestly think if you have the space to hold onto this, it could come around in value. It's generally unmolested, it wears its years honestly, it's never been crashed.
