Hi All, as my title says I'm kinda New here... I'm looking for some info on displaying cars at RRG-16
We are a community of Subaru powered conversions, and I've been asked to look into a display for a few cars, whilst mine is border line retro, some of the others are a viva, mk1 Astra, mk3 golf, mk1 escort, mk2 escort, mgtf, a few beetles and maybe a mini and a few more seems that Subaru engines are going in all sorts now...
now I don't expect them all to be able to come so I was wondering if its possible to have some space and if so how we go about it.
thanks Ian

Will stigion be aloud to take why not up the hill Wow!! I must of made some kind of impression if your very first post is asking if I can take Why Not up the hill As it happens after watching the RR vids of the hill, I have thought how much fun it would be to drive Why Not up it Bearing the Stigian question in mind, what are we allowed to take up the hill? Thinking of a cheap quick toy build as my Mazda is a long way off. Three wheels , noise and smoke ? Maybe something to challenge stigians time up the hill with something also garden based ? If it's legally on the road (ie insured, MOT'd where a requirement for one exists) and has VED up to date (even if it's zero charged) is parked in club or retro parking (ie not a modern) arrives under it's own power (ie not trailered) then it's eligible to go up the hill Why Not is insured so I can drive her around show grounds, I'm not sure if an MOT is needed or not bearing in mind what the machine is.. But I do know just the chap to speak to about getting her road registered. Will send you a pm tomorrow, Ian. Would Stigian's project why not be eligible for a demonstration run? Projects featured in readers other modifications? Hi Johnny, I would be up for that for sure.. I'd just need to work out how to get man and machine to the show..

You'll be wanting a club stand by the sound of things. I hope to open club booking up before the end of January (although I've only got a week to do that ). Stand sounds like it would be right up our street

Can I just ask, as this will be my first time and I'm camping with the wife and son (4yrs)
From what I can tell, people arrive saturday and set up camp at the campsite. Then Sunday morning convoy down to the hillclimb site, then back to camp for sunday night?
Cheers, Stu

Then Sunday, its not so much a convoy, as the site is literally next to the track. Literally. Then pack up Sunday afternoon and go 'ome.

There is a possibility we may let campers stay for Sunday night this year (it being Bank Holiday Monday the next day), however don't bank on this just yet, it is a bit of a logistical nightmare for us, and we've not checked with the venue yet.

Well, I'd like to register interest in staying the Sunday night as a wind down. Hopefully will give more people more 'time' to clear up after themselves but yea, keep us posted on this!

That would be great even if it costs a few quid extra! that's always been a downer for me knowing that i have a 160 mile drive home at the end of the day...

Sunday stopover sounds awesome. I always go a bit easy on the Sat night knowing I'll be driving home the next day, would also mean a few beers on the Sunday are not out of the question

I would love to stop over on the Sunday night too.
I have always tried to stick by Glastonbury's motto: Love the Farm, Leave no trace.
You wouldn't believe that looking at our campsite dump on Sunday afternoon but I have always left it clean before driving off. I walk our whole patch checking for tent pegs and cig butts, clearing everything before leaving. I usually feel bad for not helping with the wider clear up but it's a long drive back and I like to make the most of the 'show day' at the show. I would be willing to give a wider hand with the cleanup on the Monday morning if that helps, after all there's nothing like a bit of litter picking to clear a hangover!

When do the next lot of tickets go on sale ? and if I wanted to show my E30 or even my XJS do I have to go through the appropriate club, ie, BMW Car Club, and JEC or Jaguar Drivers Club ? If so, are there anyone from said clubs attending ? also how much will the next lot of tickets be ?
