Hey
I started paint prep on my prelude front bumper.
It had some nasty scratches so i used a course grit sand paper to get them out.
The problem now is that the bumper has gone 'fluffy'? I have tried various grits / dry and wet / machine and hand and nothing appears to be removing the 'fluffy' texture?
Any advice please?
Cheers!

Just an idea but you could try wiping an sample area with cellulose thinners to see if it "melts" the fluffy texture that can then be smoothed flat with scraper or similar. Hot air gun might do the same job. Both the above are guesses hence try on an unimportant area

some bumpers just do that , wet sanding with 800 should smooth it a bit , then on with some high build primer to cover it

i have been wet sanding with 600 but doesnt seem to be doing anything. maybe i am being too impatient. I agree though I think maybe a couple high build primers are needed just to cover it!
