hi guys, just wanted to show off my latest buy wow! being into hip hop as a teenager many letters to santa and most likely jim ll fix it meant all my aspirations were answered when I got one for christmas [thanks mum & dad!] it really was a gadget to have, and had a few nice features the main one for me was being able to play both tape decks at the same time meaning you could mix tracks into one another if you had previously cue'd up the music when I was eventually working and earning my own money, my next thing to have were a pair of cheap record decks and cheap Tandy "realistic" mixer, the 3D had a Aux / line in which was rarely found on such machines, so I could play my tunes through the 3D so that did me proud until I got my first amp and speakers the downside of it was it took an obscene amount of D batteries, a guy like me on the street had no money for them so I needed a "supplier" to give me my outdoors fix so my uncle who worked for the railway was able to get me torch batteries, for free!! but I had to make them last, which meant like, one evening, then I had to wait a month before my next set. its other downside was the 3 band EQ was curse word, you could not have the bass setting high if you wanted the set to be loud, it would just distort. I was then in a driving job, in a van with no tunes, I found that I could attach a 12v direct to the battery compartment connections, the 3D fitted lovely under a transit van passenger seat! brill!! don't know what happened to it after that, but it was missed!

It's utterly brilliant, love it so far, the battery draining isn't too big of a deal as my mate has plug sockets in the boot of his car haha =) i haven't got many tapes to mix anyway so it may be a combination of david bowie and the rocking around the Christmas tree tape that came in the machine when i bought it haha

That's a trip down memory lane I had the model after that. Still had twin tapes, super woofer boost button and 3 band EQ and the input which I used to use when I eventually got a cd player. My cousin put one in his milk float, and that made it the coolest milk float in the world by default at that point. The only thing I don't remember was if the tapes ran at the same time on my one.
