For sale is my super rare and extensively modified Skoda MB 100 fitted with mid mounted 1.8 K series engine from an MGF. The car has an extremely interesting history and has only 3 owners from new (the first (and most careful!!!) being a foreign ambassador. The car then came into the hands of well known Skoda enthusiast ( Nutter!!!) Jay Ivey who converted it into the mid engined rally replica it is today. The car has fibreglass widened rear and bootlid and I have some spare steel front wings which I will pas on if I get very close to the asking price. There is also a full Roll Centre Roll Cage made specifically for this car. The main modification is that the whole rear end from an MGF has been mounted into the Skoda chassis to provide some real grunt. This also means the car now has discs all round , so it stops as well as it goes. The engine runs the ECU from the MGF and has proved to be ultra reliable especially on the cars many trips to the Czech Republic. The car has MOT until June 2016 and is obviously tax exempt. It has one bucket seat fitted with harness and the rest of the interior is stripped out in true Rally Style. I have owned many "interesting" cars over the years including Ginetta G4, Davrian, Rochdale Olympic etc and can honestly say that NONE of them created as much interest as this car does when people see it.
There is lots of room for improvement and personalisation , but I wasc always worried about spoiling the character of the car. Just a couple of niggles at the moment:
1 There is a problem with ignition swith which means car will start but has to be staled to stop engine
2. There is a very small leak from fuel pump.
All in all a sensation "one off" Skoda which is massive fun to own and drive.
I'm not really lokoing for swaps or px but might be interested in an 80S Honda, Hillman Imp, Kit Cars, Simca 1000 or a well sorted track car
Cheers
