I've decided to put these up for sale to help fund the wheels I really want to get.
They were on my early Mk2 Golf when I got it and I planned on refurbishing them and keeping them as an original feature but little by little I seem to be deviating away from OEM now.
Due to the smaller distance between the P's I originally believed them to be Mk1 Golf wheels but the part numbers weren't correct. On digging deeper I discovered the Part numbers were for Audi 80 (Type 81) from 76-85. The wheels are made by Ronal and were an official Pirelli aftermarket option as can be seen in the picture from the brochure.
They are 14" x 6" wide, and 4x100 PCD same as VW But the Offset is 45 whereas standard VW wheels I believe to be 38. If I've got my numbers right this gives them 7mm more tuck, so you could get creative with a slammed car if that's your thing.
The wheels come complete with 4 x Mk1 centre caps with the raised Pirelli logo and 2 x plain Mk2 style centre caps. Also 4 x plain black 58mm inner centre caps to be used daily, without risk of having the Pirelli ones nicked.
The rims are fitted with tyres but these are past their best, I've kept them on to protect the rims. The rims are straight with no kerbing and generally tidy, but would benefit from a rub down and fresh paint to make them perfect.
The main visible difference is the raised Pirelli logo around the bolt holes, shown in the photos. My plan had I restored them was to paint this logo black and use them with small caps on the hub centers with the bolts visible. Saving the logo'ed caps for shows and special occasions to reduced the chance of them getting lost or stolen.
I know you can pick up P-slots dirt cheap, but these come with the centre caps 4x raised, 2x flat which I've seen sell for silly money on their own and the wheels themselves are slightly more unusual than your regular ones.
No I won't split.
I'm looking for £450 and can ship via Paisley Freight if required at the buyers cost. If Paying Paypal, I would require the fees covered on top of the asking price.
Or cash on collection from North Bristol, or during weekdays from my work in Cheltenham.
