Anyone know if this stuff affects the emissions at MOT?
Reason for asking is one of ours usually gets Forte in it when it is tested and usually has excellent emissions. This time it didn't and whilst it passed OK the CO at high idle was only just within the limit.
Usually it reads 0.01, this time it was 0.19. The limit for it is 0.2. Service items are all good.
I assumed the cat is nearing the end of its life, it's 16 years old. But then I just wondered, do places use Forte to help lower emissions?
I could bung some in an get it tested again, but it's an expensive way to check. Anyone on here know anything about what it does?
