I was saw this recently and was tempted but I have decided to pass it on as I need an estate. The owner has moved away and it's on his parents' driveway in Sheffield so he has reluctantly decided to sell the car. I have offered to help find it a new home. Approx. 90K genuine miles. I has had 4 local owners and has a full service history with all the old tax discs etc. Fitted with an electric sunroof and rear spoiler. The ABS light is on but I understand it could be a blown fuse. The car is SORN and will need an MoT. The owner is looking for £1500 o.n.o. Ended up buying an Alfa as needed something with MOT, this Merc is MINT (havent looked round it but was noesying earlier) & it's teasing me lol.

Sad to report that this caught fire this morning, I looked out of my window and saw thick grey smoke pouring out as soon as i realised it wasn't burning oil I called the fire-brigade.
They arrived very quickly (5mins!) but its probably a goner, battery caught fire.
Everyone is ok, I have said I would post to see if any interest in it as a parts car.
I'm gutted (and it's not even my car) as I was going to go see them with a view of buying it in the new year when we have moved.

Cheers I didnt have a real looks as I was just checking they were ok, but it looks like bonnet & grill are gone. If I had to guess the bumper & passenger side wing/plastics are gone as well - not sure if the fire brigade hosed the interior or not. When I get chance I will pop over and ask whats happening with it and if they are ok for me to take pics, PM me you number and if they don't want me to take pics I can pass that on and you can talk direct to them. |
