SOLD SOLD SOLD
Due to poverty reasons, I can't keep the big cat realistically.
I had big plans, but they were also very expensive, and a lack of a workshop right now doesn't help.
Very brutally honest advert:
12 months MOT on her.
V5 in my name.
Tyres are all good.
Bodywork is pretty solid, theres a thumb sized hole on the passenger side outer sill skin, and the doors have some bubbling at the bottom and on one rear arch.
The bonnet appears to be a slightly different grey in some lights, and has had the holes for the leaper filled in.
The passenger side rear door has a dent and the previous owner touched it up with a paint brush. some bubbling around the windscreen, but all seems solid.
Drivers seat is ripped and the wood is all tired, headlining saggy (they all are), but everything works, including the ELECTRIC SUN ROOF. YEEAAHHH.
The central locking doesn't work, but I'm yet to find an XJ6/12 with working central locking.
The engine runs well, starts on the button, and doesn't smoke. Runs lumpy when its hot at idle, I think it needs a service. Slight tick from exhaust manifold gasket, rest of the exhaust doesn't look old.
Slushmatic gearbox works, fluid is clear but could do with changing.
MOT advisories are minor, just bush covers and a headlight flickering slighty, which is just a bulb.
136'000 miles approx, lots of service history, including receipts from all over Europe from summer holidays back in the day.
The old girl has a tendency to shake a bit above 65mph, but seeing as it is wheel speed related and none of the UJ's are clicking or in poor condition, it's safe to assume it's the linglong diddly ditchfinders on the wheels.
Oil pressure is nice and high, approx 65psi at 60mph, 40 at idle.
switching twin fuel tanks working fine.
engine is lovely and quiet.
Located just northeast of Winchester up the A33. Fully road legal, so with proof of insurance you are welcome to test drive.
It's a cheap, mot'd, 30 year old Jag.
Drives nicely, Feel a million dollars on a pleb budget.
That's about it really. With some TLC, it's a tidy money maker, or give it a service and put some more miles on the old girl.
£1500 or an offer, I'm not unrealistic. Would PX for a manual Volvo 740 diesel, XJS, or something huge, old and stupid with an MOT.
I can also be reached by Whatsapp, text, or sometimes phone if I get signal. 07926178955
The carpets under the rubber mats are also in good condition.
