Just got a Datsun B310 (sunny) from France. Think its a 1978 or 1979 1.2 4 door. The owner cant find the French logbook and without a reg date l can't get a uk logbook. Has anyone on here any ideas or information about getting a uk logbook?
Chassis number is LB310-039920

He should be able to re-apply for it, it's a legal document that you have to carry with you at all times in the car.
Failing that, get the car a UK MOT on the chassis, and then get a letter from Nissan dating the car, they should be able to do this easy enough for you. Unless the laws changed since I moved back to the UK as this is what I'm hoping to do with mine.

Unless the laws changed since I moved back to the UK as this is what I'm hoping to do with mine. How would a get Nissan to date the car? Should I send them the mot and a letter explaining. The previous owner signed a bill of sale/ receipt as well so could send that too? |

If you can get a duplicate French log book then it's a very simple case with DVLA of obtaining a UK registration so worth going that route than dating certificate etc.
