many years ago I had a rust free MG Metro Turbo, but swapped it for a Fiat Strada Cabriolet which had lots of Abarth bits on it. Both cars are very rare now but I was most gutted for the loss of the Metro Turbo, but we all remember them so, does anyone remember the Fiat Strada? or even own one here is a google pic of the cabrio version

Yeah, i quite fancy one, my brother had this butterscotch beauty about twenty odd years ago:- All my mates were running round in boring old Golfs at the time and to be honest i thought that the Fiat Strada which was the source of all my mates jokes, was better than all their Golfs... It was just more interesting... I wish i could find myself one now!

This made me excited. Don't know where the pic is from though. Not seen one for years. Possibly decades.

I remember my brother had one, I thought it was cool - still do lol. The seat belts were a weird design if I remember, they didn't have a buckle.

I love those round headlight ones, I bet there's pretty much none left now.

My uncle and aunt had one in silver, I always liked it. They got fed up with the reliability and rust and they replaced it with a brand new Orion 1.6i Ghia.

My mother had one in the mid eighties, I didn't really appreciate it back then. Then in the early nineties my best mate bought a 105tc, the baby brother to the 130tc. It was a neat handling car, not too rusty either. It's probably gone now though!

They are one of those cars I remember seeing a few off as a kid (and I had a silver matchbox one), but then they completely disappeared! Don't think I've ever seen one since at a car show/or the odd one on the road...shame :-(

My parents had 3 of them. The first was an Abarth 130tc that was stolen, the next was a 105 abarth, that got stolen as well. The last one was a SuperStrada 1.4. That car rusted away in 6 months and cost a fortune in parts. At the time we could not get bits in the scrappy so it was the main stealer for the expensive parts. But despite that, they were good fun. And my parents still talk of them.

I put these in the same category as the Renault Fuego and Fuego turbo, Uno/Uno Turbo. Remember always seeing them in the late 80s but could not tell you when I have seen one recently.

I had a black 105tc abarth in 1996 and it only had one scabby arch, which i dealt with, so for a strada was surprisingly mint, I have also had about 12 Metro Turbo's and the last one I had in my sig below, I miss dearly, as i had it 12 years and it was the cleanest metro I had ever seen in terms of rust it had none!!!! Miss it badly!
