Bought this for myself, then got offered another, more fitting car - a £500 Mondeo ST TDCi, like I was going to pass on that!
What we have here is a 2000 BMW 520i Touring auto. Has 111k on the clock and is generally in good condition. All the toys such as air con, electric windows, power steering, alloys, so in and so forth. The 'down' button for the temp on the passenger side of the climate needs replacing, though it does still work. There's a dog guard too.
Passed its MOT last week at a cost of £250.
Loads of history, original bill of sale, recent rear subframe bushes, new tyres, brakes, etc. Really smooth and quiet to drive.
Issues: sensor is broken for the rear hatch, so the car thinks it needs to be shut even when it's closed. Keys are flat, so you have to lock it manually. One wing mirror has been clouted by something - still there and works, just got a damaged cover. Seats are in good condition, as is the interior in general. However, a quick going over with some Vanish wouldn't kill'em.
All in all, it's s cheap, practical, smooth, well built car that's surplus.
I'd like to see £850 for it, though if you can get it gone before the weekend is out, I might do a deal.
