Hi All
Bought this car from a gent in swansea, it needed tlc and some work.
Late 1989 model (cross over between phase 1.5 and 2)
BE3 gearbox (standard fitment on the later cars)
Phase 1.5 lights
Full comprehensive service history
100% standard car
New timing belt kit fitted
New water pump also fitted
Spare seat with perfect bolter and cloth to replace the damaged drivers side
Lots and lots of random spares from my masses I have collected over the years.
11months mot!
Last on the road in 2012, was taken off road as the owner was saving for a house and couldnt justify the cost of running the car along side the honda civic type r (which he bought from me!). It was due a timing belt and he didnt have the time to do it himself nor the funds to pau somebody else.
It's cherry red, paintwork is ok, it's straight aside for a minor scuff (as done by the gents girlfriend when last taken for a service), and a small patch of bubbling which isnt too uncommon these days.
It originally had 1.9 alloys which I have swapped for a set of a set of refurbished 1.6 wheels which are in ok condition, no major curbing, but the paintwork isn't great. The tyres currently fitted are all legal, but of various makes.
It had new pads and disks at the service, obviously covering minor miles since.
I have fitted a new fuel filter, spark plugs, air filter, oil filter - the oil in there is still golden as it barely did 500 miles since serviced last! I fitted a new distributor cap so she sparks really well! (Often overlooked)
There's no radio fitted. It used to have 1 which I will include but tbh it looked awful so I removed it.
It runs really well, idles well, emissions were spot on for mot, battery is recent (in 2012 bought for another vehicle), drives well, it was used daily by the previous owners until they took it off the road.
I had intended on using the car as my daily driver as it was cheaper to run than my 1.9 on throttlebodies, but lucky for me a new job with better pay meant I could have some fun with a defender aswell as my grey 205. This car has been sat in a garage for past 3 years, and sat on my drive for atleast 8 months.
The car has replacement red strips on the bumpers, they are about 1 inch too short in my opinion, but look brand new.
The car is sorn.
I would like £2800 for it, I understand it's a lot, but the car is honest, free from major rust unlike most and really I don't want it to go to a home where it wont be appreciated.
I am open to serious offers and enquiries, if you feel the car is too much for you but still think you could gice it a good home feel free to pm me with your budgrt and we can have a chat, you might not be wasting your time.
I live in Porthcawl where the car is based, I work in Bridgend, I can pick you up locally within reason to view the car.
I have had between 20 and 25 of these little hothatches over the past 10 years, this one isn't the best (I'm keeping that one) but it is certainly very good. It is difficult to find a standard 205 these days.
If you're interested feel feel to drop me a pm for my contact number.
Cheers
Dan
P.s. I'll add photos when I work out how to do it on my phone.
