Description:
this is my 1994 bmw 730i in green with cream leather interior, its in great condition and runs and drives as smooth as the day it left the show room the 3.0 L v8 starts on the button and the auto box is like silk through the range including sports mode, the cream leather is nice and clean with no scuffs or rips and the cream carpet is still plush, its hard to believe this car is over 20 years old, having only done 93k so not yet run in, the car benefits a full service history with bmw up to 89k and I have a folder full of receipts for work and services carried out on the car, the car started life as a bmw demonstrator and as such was registered to bmw putting one owner on the books, later sold on to a company for a director to use as his company car who then kept the car after retiring and registered in his own name thus putting 2 more owners on the books but in theory only one extra owner this was the same owner who kept up the history services with bmw until the car was passed on to a family member and then passed on in a trade in and later bought by myself as a stop gap after selling my orion. being one of bmws flag ship cars costing circa 40k when new its still a lot of car for the money even today imo, also worth mentioning is the car is old enough to be on classic insurance and i do so myself with footman james and being older than 2001 the tax band is the same as any 1.6 car being £126 for six months and the car as mot till feb 2016, only fault worth mentioning with the car is a car park scuff on the rear quarter with a shallow dent which although the paint isn't broken and an easy fix for a company like dent master I'm gutted it happened whilst in my ownership, so there you have it my 3.0l v8 monster , the car as a lot of potential and its one that's begging to be slammed low and have a decent induction kit fitted to let the growl out of the engine bay, its £1850 to buy and and I'm pretty sure that's reasonable to ask as ive seen similar cars with same mileage and condition at that although higher mileage cars can be had for less, to answer the up for swaps questions yes I am but would love a pre 95 Mitsubishi shogun/pajero 2.5/2.8 diesel in 7 or 5 seat or ford maverick Nissan terrano 2.7d ect but willing to consider other cars as long as they fall into the classic category, sorry I'm not up for swaps or trades on projects I'm only interested in cars that have mot are straight and clean and ready to use as a daily, EDIT, please not the oil slick on the pic is not from the beemer in fact its not even my driveway but you are more than welcome to come and view the car to put your mind at rest,

I don't think so, it's just its a buyers market. I am currently looking for a new barge and ebay & auto trader are flooded with them!
2k isn't unfair for yours IMHO, it's just that for a few hundred more, M Parallels & Facelift fronts etc come into play.

If yours had those wheels, I'd already own it!
Was bidding on a lovely 735 last night on Ebay. Set my limit but it still went for over £3800 - twas mint though and in the perfect colour etc.

Would you be interested in a swap for a 1988 BMW E32 735i SE? Basically it's the 7 series before this model. I've owned it for 2 years but I'm ready for a change

As nice as the E38s are, and as much as I love them, they have not quite hit the classic status yet.
E32s are there now and commanding strong values, but the market is currently flooded with decent E38s for less than £2k, hence why it will take a while to shift it on. also, E65s (although plagued by electrical gremlins), can also be had for this sort of money, so a lot of potential buyers are swaying in that direction.
I struggled for ages to sell a good example and low mileage W124 300E, and I thought it would fly out the door! My Alpina B10 is taking a while to sell, and I thought something as rare as that would have also gone by now!
Perhaps try some of the BMW magazines / websites, or Car & Classic?
It will sell eventually, but probably not as quick as you would like.

Agreed - that said, finding one with everything working is proving difficult - mind you, I am the major factor as due to a health issue, I cannot travel very far so ideally need delivery. (I have got a guy with a nice E38 calling me tonight that is willing to deliver)

( thanks steve13415 but looking more for a smaller engine car ) a nice e30 may grab my attention but prices on those seem to be on the up at a silly rate, but as it is I am looking more for a swap than an actual sale hence why I'm in no great rush to sell the car as it is still in daily use although daily wasn't my original intention, I purchased the car myself to replace my weekend mk2 orion with the same intentions to only use the beemer as a weekend toy with a little more added flavour but after the other half had a go in the car its now turned into more of a daily drive for her school runs shopping ect and she never drove the orion so I'm looking for a 4x4 or 80s car that I'm hoping will be just the weekend toy again or something with a rat look and stance to achieve the same result
