Hi guys,
As above, looking at a 940se, that's a UK spec 2.0 turbo charged. What do people think of them?
Also where is the best place to get insurance for them. Though I may get classic with it but they didn't want to know.
Cheers

Unfortunately I can't help with the insurance, as I can't remember who I was with at the time. Its also based on your own personal circumstances to be fair.
But, I would love another one at some point, so pictures are necessary
Is it the estate version?

The only people who can help with insurance are insurance brokers or companies, this may sound and a bit strange but they are the ones who provide the insurance cover and just because one underwriter covers someone else's car it doesn't mean that it will be the same for you.

I've got a 2.3 turbo 940 and it isn't a bad beasty really. I've not driven a 2.0L version so not sure what they go like but would expect you have to work them a bit harder. They are possibly slightly less desiarable than the 2.3 version though so might be a bit cheaper. For a standard car it's a case of ringing round although Chris Knott and Footman James are listed as being the Volvo Owners Clubs recognised insurance companies. Some will list them as classic cars if they are over a certain age and some will cover modified ones. Chris Knott seem to quote good prices but I'm not insured with them.
It all depends what you are planning on doing with it. Engine wise if you wanted to swap it for a 2.3 is should be quite straighforward. I'm not sure what gearbox it will have but think it might be the earlier 5 speed or 4 speed overdrive.
