Sorry to make this my first (and probably last post) but I'm selling my very rare unrestored and original Skoda 1000MB. It's on the road and ready to drive with 12 months MOT. Reserve is £1800. Various spares included. If you've every wanted a car with similar styling to a Bugatti Veyron this is you big chance:  You wouldn't believe the number of times I've parked it next to a Veyron and ended up trying to get back in the wrong car by mistake. Oh yes! Superb car - my cousin traveled from Prague around the Scandinavian horseshoe (Denmark, Sweden, Finland) then down to through the Baltics back to Prague a few years ago in a blue 1000MB with three burly mates. Having owned four Skoda Estelles one is tempted yet concerned at your "reserve unmet". Well I'm not giving the car away but the reserve isn't some crazy amount that could never be reached. Personally I think the car with the spares (a new wing like that isn't easy to come by) is worth at least £2500 and the reserve is a lot lower than that. Come and have a look at it. Driving it to the Czech Republic was something I had really wanted to do before selling it. I figured a right hand drive one like this would really mess with the local's heads. Not to be though. Must admit I was really torn between selling through an auction or just advertising it, maybe I've made a mistake but it's done now. |

A couple of guys I knew in the '80s had old Skodas and for all the standard jokes about them being dodgy crapboxes they seemed very reliable. One guy in particular gave his absolute death and it just wouldn't die. The New Zealand made Trekka (from the early '70s) also came with a Skoda motor and many of them survived in daily use into the '80s and '90s. If money were no object I'd be tempted to buy one just because they are so oddball nowadays.
